1. A catalogue of that superb and well known cabinet of drawings of John Barnard, Esq. late of Berkley-Square, deceased : consisting of the choicest works of all the ancient masters, collected at a great expence from the cabinets of Lord Somers, Arundel, and Cholmondley, Sir Peter Lely, Dr. Mead, Holditch, and Uvedale Price, Esqrs. Mr Muilman, and Vander Dussens, of Amsterdam, Mons. Mariette, of Paris, and many others : among which are many exceeding fine and capital, by Raphael, A. Del Sarto, Titian, M. Angelo, Parmegiano, Corregio, P. Veronese, Bassano, Claude Loraine, Poussin, Rubens, Vandyke, Rembrandt, Berghem, Adrian, Will. V. De Vedel, Potter, Du Jardin, Ruysdale, &c. : which will be sold by auction, by Mr. Greenwood, at his room, in Leicester-Square, on Friday, Feb. 16, 1787, and the seven following evenings : it is presumed, that a more capital collection of the valuable works of the Italian, Dutch, Flemish, French, and English schools, were never offered to the public, or more worthy the attention of the learned connoisseurs.
