Notes
"The seller was Timothy Sheldrake (1729-1800), who was the son of the botanist Timothy Sheldrake (ca.1691-ca.1759) and the grandson of the saddler Timothy Sheldrake (d.1717); however, he was known as "the elder" because he and his son Timothy Sheldrake "the younger" (b.1759) were both truss makers."--Getty provenance index databases.
