Christie, James, 1773–1831

A catalogue of the very capital, valuable and highly important collection of Italian, French, Flemish and Dutch pictures of the late Ph; Panné, Esq., of Great George Street, Hanover Square, deceased : comprising nearly 350 works of the greatest Masters of the several schools : many of them choicest specimens, both of gallery size, and precious cabinet bijoux of the most exquisite finishing which were selected by him from the finest public collections, or by means of private opportunities on the continent : the above were the investment of a very considerable capital, and will be found worthy of the judgement and taste of the late proprietor, which have been deservedly respected in the long course of thirty-seven years experience : by order of the administrator, they will be sold by auction by Mr. Christie at his Great Room, Pall Mall, on Friday, March 26, 1819, & two following days (Sunday excepted) each day at one o'clock precisely, without reserve.
