    Jane Caroline Blair was born on April 26, 1797 in London. She married Lieutenant Henry Solomon Reid on November 1, 1821 in Kolkata, where they lived until at least March 1831, when their daughter, Anne Jane Reid, died in London.
    Bound in original half leather with gray paper cover boards. The inside of the back cover features a stationer's label for R. Ackermann's Repository of Arts, 101 Strand, London.
    Many of the drawings are accompanied by short captions in black ink. The inside of the front cover features an inscription in ink with the name "Jane Caroline Reid."
