Handwritten text below the watercolor: "Heraclitus III. 7 days on the Colorado. Camp 1. Mile 15. 11 June 2017. The usual scrum of loading rafts. Launch. Hot sun + cold water. Baking + drenching. Unload. Make camp. Draw looking SSW downriver until dusk. Supper. 12 June. Up at 4:00. Paint until breakfast. A slow repack until everyone shakes down. Check site. Launch."
