Bookplate: Thomas Maude. Another later owner's bookplate: Brackenburn. First plate in the second volume, 'Aymer de Valance', is signed: A Pugin delt. usually considered as a point proving second or later issue than when signed: F. Mackenzie.
BAC: British Art Center copy 2 is a presentation copy from Rucolph Ackermann to Empress Mariia Feodorovna & has a specially calligaphed leaf of presenation. It is bound in bold-stamped blue morocco with green watered silk endpapers. Binder's ticket: C. Hering, 10 St. Martin's Street.

BAC: British Art Center copy 4 is the Abbey copy (Scenery 214) has the engraved title page to volume 2 signed in error: Mackenzie, thus proving this to be an earlier issue than copies 1-3. Binding is as described in Abbey, and is very similar to copy 2. Binder's ticket: Bound by Hering, 9 Newman Street.
BAC: British Art Center copy 5 is in original 20 parts, with wrappers. Subscriber's note in part 8 states that whereas the original design was that the work "should be completed in sixteen numbers ... it will be extended to 20 numbers" (See Tooley, who states that the work was issued in 16 parts). Subscribers notes are also issued in parts 10, 12, 19 & 20 & inserted advertisement leaves are present in parts 12, 14 & 15.
BAC: British Art Center copy 6 has no text; it contains some of the original drawings and some proof plates before they were aquatinted. The volume has the autograph of Arthur Ackermann.
