The 10 leaves of letterpress comprise: a title leaf, two leaves of dedicatory poems, an introduction, a list of engravings, and five leaves describing scenery depicted.
The plates (india proofs, mounted) are dated 1830-1832.

Augmented with: [1] a drawing, pen and brown wash: "Mr. Constable's Gallery of Landscape ..."; [2] a prospectus, dated 1832, for "Mr. Constable's English landscape ...," [2] pages; [3] a proof impression, before letters, of "Hampstead Heath" (Shirley 3, progress proof 'e'), the border of which is filled with a drawing of trees; [4] "Mill near Brighton" (Shirley 4, progress proof, 'g' before letters); [5] "Opening of Waterloo Bridge" (Shirley 31, progress proof 'g' before letters). Also has bound with it: English landscape, from pictures painted by John Constable ... (London, 1845). -
