Extracts from Sir Thomas Phillipps' ms. copy of the cartulary. His copy is briefly described in the preface to the Abbey's Registrum Malmesburiense (London, 1879-1880).

Dated 1831 in the British Museum Catalogue, but 1829 in Martin, John. A bibliographical catalogue of books privately printed. London, 1834, p. 452. The latter date is probably correct, since Offer, the printer, worked for Phillips between 1826 and 1829.--Cf. Munby, A. N. L. Phillipps studies. Cambridge, 1951-1960.
