  • Notes

Illustrations are four full-page engravings (added allegorical t.p.; Charles I; Henrietta Maria; Marie de Médicis' reception by the English monarchs) & 10 etched views of Marie's progress from Harwich to London; that of the arrival in London is on double leaves & folded. Although all are sometimes attributed to Wenceslaus Hollar, probably only the four allegorical engravings were done by him.--cf. Hind & Parthey.
