Manuscript mock-up of Mandy Bonnell's Antmothbeetlemillipedespider, 2006, prepared by the artist. The mock-up is a close approximation of the published version of the work. Notable differences include: the omission of Gbadamosi's poems; variant cover illustrations; a variant title (the word slug is omitted from the title in the published version).
The mock-up is compiled with a mixture of original graphite drawings and photocopies (in whole sheets, and in small cut pieces). The intended placement of Gbadamosi's poems is indicated with simple notes, "Poem 1," "Poem 2," etc.
The mock-up is accompanied by a set of 11 sheets of study drawings for the present work. Most of the drawings are in graphite alone; a couple have light applications of watercolor. One, for "Crab spider," is in a more advanced state, in graphite and color ink.
