In contemporary "Memo book," limp red paper wrappers.
Manuscript pocket notebook containing handwritten information on various types of poison gases, collected by an unidentified compiler, circa 1916. The volume includes information on blister gas, decontamination of respirators, mustard gas, tear gases, detection of gases, and the effect of weather on gases. It details the identification, symptoms, effects, and attempted cures for poisoning, and it may thus be the notes of a doctor in the field during World War I.
