Each slide is numbered in ms. (from 6 to 9), suggesting that they were once part of a larger series.
Four glass mounted photographic slides, depicting scenes in London, probably circa 1887. Two bear printed captions affixed to the bottom: "Buckingham Palace" and "Westminster Abbey." The other two are captioned in pen and black ink on a label affixed to the bottom: "Jubilee leaving Buckingham" and "Jubilee process., Hyde Park." The references are presumably to Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee (1887), for which she travelled by landau in a procession to Westminster Abbey and made an appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
