The text is dedicated to the figure of Louis Balugani, his training and his first professional activity documented in Bologna and Rome. The name of Balugani is related to the natural and archaeological expedition conducted in 1765 in Africa and the Middle East by Scotsman James Bruce of Kinnaird, in which he took part as a designer.
