"The paper of the text is of English make; that of the plates, French. The copper plates in and out of the text were made by Mr. Walter Colls from photographs, with a few exception, specially taken for the volume. The photogravures were printed by Mr. Charles Preston, and Messrs. T. Brooker and co. The lithographs of the sketches and drawings were prepared and printed by Mr. W. Griggs. The English edition of this work is limited to 1110 copies for sale in Great Britain, of which 110 have portfolios, containing duplicate plates on Indian paper."
