Notes and Queries [12 S.X. March, 1922] Glass paintings of York lists John Summers residing at 24, Petergate in 1846 and on Feb. 28 of that year advertised in 'The Yorks Gazette' an exhibition of painting to be held at his house. He also was a picture restorer and an artist in stained glass.
