Greenwood, John, 1727–1792

A catalogue of the capital and well-chosen collection of cabinet picture, of James Kirke, Esq., deceased : late one of the Commissioners of His Majesty's Victualling-Office : consisting of the undoubted works of the following, and other much esteemed artists : Parmegiano, Domenichino, Soleminie, Pasquilinie, Carache, Morillio, S. Darattie, De Vinci, Rubens, Vandyke, Poussin, Teniers, Ostade, Brower, Ge Gelder, J. Miel, Berghem, Scalken, A. Vandevelde, Ruysdael, Swanvelte, Cuyp, Watteau, Polemburgh : particularly, a select number of original and capital sea-pieces, by those great masters, Vandevelde, Bakhusen, De Vlieger, Stork, Brooking, &c. : which will be sold by auction by Mr. Greenwood, at his rooms in Leicester-Square, on Thursday the 21st, and Saturday the 23d of February, 1788, at twelve o'clock each day : to be viewed, and catalogues had two days preceding the sale.
