A catalogue of a genuine, superb and truly valuable assemblage of vases, marbles, and other objects of virtù : the property of, and collected by a Man of Fashion, during a recent visit to Rome and Naples : comprising a numerous collection of singularly-fine Etruscan Vases, of the early Sicilian and Compana Classes : besides many rare and novel specimens of the smaller Greek pottery : slabs of the most rare and precious Antique Marbles : part of the shaft of a column of the beautiful Egyptian Granite : a few bustos of exquisite modern sculpture, particularly a colossal bust from the Antinous and a noble copy, in marble, from the celebrated vase in the Villa Borghese, 3 feet 9 inches high : a fine plaster cast, moulded expressly for the proprietor from the Apollo of the Belvidere : and a few elegant Alabaster Vases of Beautiful Florentine Sculpture : also, two fine antique gems : a capital set of the Nine Muses, in Mable, antique : and original models in terra cotta, by the celebrated Roubiliac, &c. &c. : which will be sold by auction by Mr. Christie, at the Great Room, Pall Mall, on Friday, March the 29th, 1805, at twelve o'clock.
