A catalogue of all the truly elegant household furniture, silver-gilt and silver plate : Oriental and modern porcelain : some pictures and drawings framed and glazed of William Beckford, Esq. of Fonthill : among the foregoing are a variety of superb cabinets of solid ebony, elaborately carved or lnlaid with Florentine Mosaics, and other costly materials, and mounted with or-moulu, in the finest taste : sumptuous cabinets of buhl cabinets, jewel chests, silver-gilt drawing-room large candlesticks, with branches by Auguste : three capital leaved screens of the finest Japan, scarcely to be matched : rose-wood bookcases : large Persia-pattern and other carpets in the nicest condition : a few pictures of the first quality and importance, the Sibylla Lyrica by Lod : Carracci from the Lansdown Cobbection : Job, by S. Rosa, from the Santa Croce Palace at Rome ... : the drawings are a grand set of landscapes in water colours by J. M. W. Turner ... and others, by Daniell, &c. : the plate comprises many thousand ounces of articles in the most modern taste, much of it very richly gilt, and several of the principal pieces executed by Auguste, from the designs of Moitte : mounted agates in cups : carvings in ivory : bronzes : fine Japan, and various objects of vertu : which will be sold by auction, by Mr. Christie, on the premises, no.6, Upper Harley Street, on Friday, May 9, 1817, & three following days, (Sunday excepted) : at one o'clock precisely.
