Imprint date from Prideaux, Sarah Treverbian. Aquatint engraving. London [1909]. Thomas Sutton, in The Daniells. London [1954], says that a copy with two less plates (and two different plates) was published between 1827 and 1830. The Library of Congress has catalogued another copy and assigned the date [1814?] although the author was not elected into full membership in the Royal Academy until 1822. The British Art Center has a copy of the t.-p. and many of the plates in proof state, dated on t.-p. June 1828.
British Art Center has 2 copies, in which the plates are in a different order. Copy 1 has a leather label on the cover reading Daniel's Sketches of a voyager. Twenty-five plates. Price £2. 12s. 6d. Copy 2, which is 21 x 28 cm., has a label beginning Daniell's ...
