There is writing on only two pages of the folded sheet. The recto pages are decorated with a gold crown stamp in the top left corner.
The Mr. Meyer referenced in the letter may likely be William Meyer, Stallmeister and Master of the Horse, who was a part of the royal household. He retired from royal service in 1871. The Lord Albemarl referenced in the letter may likely be William Keppel, 4th Earl of Albemarle, who was the Master of Horse, under Lord Melbourne. - Subject Terms:

"I am not aware of that story concerning Mr. Meyer and his asking for a horse of the Queen's stables and there fore don't understand well the matter, but I should ask you, to stop comunication with Lord Albemarl for the present, because the Queen told me, that there were again some grievances concerning the use of the horses, which I should hear from Lord Melbourne. I think, I shall see him this evening. I prefer the stamp of the old english letters to the french. The box is very convenient. Your's faithfully, Albert. B.P. 5th Ap. 40."
