Title from spine of publisher's hinged box. The box is shaped in the form of two book spines on one side. It bears designations "vol. I" and "vol. II" and "Stereographic library."
Place of publication and publisher from mounts.
Dates of publication from copyright dates printed on some of the mounts. Items dated between 1899 and 1904 are copyright B.L. Singley. Items dated between 1905 and 1913 (or undated) are copyright Keystone View Company.
The mounts bear non-consecutive publisher's numbers between 975 and 20701.
Versos of the mounts have descriptive text.
Description based on a set of 100 stereographs at the Yale Center for British Art. The YCBA set includes a small number of photographs depicting locations in Egypt, Italy, and Greece. It is unclear if these were issued by the publisher as part of the Palestine and Syria set.
The photographs depict notable buildings, monuments, and scenery of Palestine, Israel, and Syria.
