Bound in contemporary brown cloth, rebacked.
The album include love poems, copied in manuscript, alongside watercolor illustrations on related subjects, by an anonymous compiler. The verse is copied from published works by varied authors, including John Wilkes, Thomas Hood, Johannes Secundus, Byron, Winthrop Mackworth Praed, and Thomas Moore. Much of the subject matter may have been considered mildly risqué for the time, with frequent reference to (and depictions of) physical affection and longing.
