The largest number of maps cover the coasts of Africa and North America.
A sequel to: Le Neptune françois, ou, Atlas nouveau des cartes marines (A Paris [i.e. Amsterdam] : Chez Hubert Jaillot aux Deux Globes [i.e. Pieter Mortier], MDCLXXXXIII [1693]).
The leaves of plates comprise: Boussole des vents ... (1 leaf); 18 prints of ships; 37 maps on 61 leaves. Twenty-four of the maps are printed across facing leaves, folded at the inner margin.

BAC Folio B 2023 9: Includes three variations from the copy described in Koeman (M. Mor 7): [1] preceded by the allegorical engraved title page that also appeared with Le Neptune françois; [2] includes a 19th engraving of ships: "Solemnité du Bucentaure qui se célèbre à Venise le jour de l'Ascension" with reference to a different publication ("Tome 1, pag. 266"); the 25th map varies, titled in Dutch "Paskaert vande Caspise Zee" (1 leaf). Plates are hand-colored. Bound with: Le Neptune françois, ou, Atlas nouveau des cartes marines (A Paris [i.e. Amsterdam] : Chez Hubert Jaillot aux Deux Globes [i.e. Pieter Mortier], 1703).
