"'Hurvin Anderson: Salon Paintings' takes it from the first exhibition to survey Anderson's Barbershop series to date, spanning the early paintings and related studies he made in 2006 to major new works presented for the first times with which the series now culminates. It brings together previously unseen sketches and archival material alongside Anderson's own reflections on this extraordinary body of work published for the first time. The Barbership is a subject that Anderson has returned to throughout his career, as a point of connection to Caribbean culture.
