The firm of Reeves & Sons was active at 150 Cheapside (London) between 1829 and 1845.
Restricted fragile material. Use requires permission of the Curator of Rare Books and Manuscripts.
The box includes original brass hinges and lock. The third (bottom) section of the interior bears the printed label of Reeves & Sons, at 150 Cheapside.
The box is divided into three sections of compartments. The top row includes 12 slots for paint blocks. The blocks show minimal usage.
The middle row includes a removable mixing tray and three additional paint blocks.
The narrow bottom row is empty.
Includes one drawer containing six additional circular mixing trays.
