With a frontispiece portrait of the author engraved by Philipp Kilian, after Johann Ulrich Mayr. The plates are chiefly engraved by Richard Collin, with some by Kilian, Karl Gustav Amling, Johann Alexander Boener, J. Franz, Leonhard Heckenauer, Johann Jakob Thurneysen (1636-1711), Johann Jakob von Sandrart, and Johann Georg Waldreich; most after drawings by Joachim von Sandrart, and two after Johann Jakob von Sandrart.
Six of the 70 illustrations are printed across facing leaves of plates.
