An earlier edition had 43 leaves. That of 1692 had 59 leaves, and subsequent editions had 56. See Indice delle stampi de' Rossi.
Engraved throughout. Some plates incorporate keyed explanations; for the remainder explanations appear on separate leaves. The illustrations are additionally numbered Tavola prima - Tavola XXXIX. A few reportedly signed by François Andriot as engraver in other copies.

BAC N7420 .S26c+: Imperfect: leaves 10, 14, 16, 36-40, 42-44, 46-52, and 55 only, not in order. Interspersed with 21 additional engravings illustrating skeletal anatomy of the same statues. The latter lack lettering and numbering. Bound with: Sandrart, Joachim von. Sculpturae veteris admiranda, sive, Delineatio vera perfectissimarum eminentissimarumque statuarum (Norimbergae : Christiani Sigismundi Frobergii, 1680). The volume bound in later red leather, stamped in gold on front covers with armorial of Mark Masterman Sykes, baronet, of Sledmere, beneath the initials S.M.M. Armorial bookplates: John, Duke of Bedford; "Du cabinet de [blank]".
