BAC : British Art Center has 3 copies. Copy 1 is in parts with the original wrappers. Copy 1 has advertisements on the back wrappers. Copy 1 retains the protective envelopes in which parts 1-3 were packaged; these envelopes are labelled Sir W. Middleton, Bt., Whitehall. Copy 2 is the Abbey copy and is bound in one volume by M.M. Holloway. In copy 2 the frontispiece is the plate entitled "Central view of the exterior of the building."
BAC: Copy 3 is in 2 volumes in a publisher's binding, with a separate t.-p. to vol. 2. The plates in copy 3 are proofs. The frontispiece to vol. 1 is entitled "Waiting for the Queen." The frontispiece to vol. 2 is entitled "The transept."
