Notes:
A later reprint of the edition published ca. 1770 (?), which had imprint "Chez Chrarles Dien, rue de Foin St. Jacques, au Collège de Mtre. Gervais." Dien was active at that address until about 1815, after which he (and later his son) operated at the rue de Jardinet address (see BNF). Unlike the earlier edition, the present edition includes plate 40, containing ornaments for ceilings.
For description of the earlier edition, see: Harris, E. British architectural books and writers 1556-1785, no. 124; and, British Architectural Library, Early Printed Books 1478-1840, no. 604.
The plates are "mostly copied in reverse from the 2nd English edition." Engraved by Jean Nicholas Le Rouge, P.J. Valet, C.J.B. Chatelain, and J.C. Pelletier. See: British Architectural Library.
Plate 7 repeated in foliation.
