Abbey records two versions of this work, although the lithographic plates are identical in both. The Abbey Scenery 69 version is in the publisher's original printed wrappers, stitched. In the Abbey Life 548 version, the four plates have been joined end-to-end, to form a single long panorama. This version is in a contemporary cloth folder, with publisher's printed title label: "W. Grant's panoramic view of Brighton from the sea."
