Letterpress English title slips are pasted over the original engraved French title (in both volumes). In volume 1, an English imprint is pasted over the French; in volume 2, the imprint (in Latin) is not pasted over: "Sumptibus & typis aeneis Henrici Hondij, Amsterodami, 1638."
Maps are by various cartographers including Henry Hondius, Lhuyd, Pont, Massa, Henneberg, Jansson, Laurenberg, Lubin, Palbitzke, Mellinger, Emmius, Gigas, Comenius, Berckenrode, Surhon, Wicheringe, Hardy, Fayen, Gerard, Fer, Secco, Labafia, Sprecher von Berneck.
The foliated sections consist of double-page maps (folded at the inner margin) with text on back, foliated on the text pages (first recto and second verso of each sheet).
