"The plates are all reprinted from the first edition of this text ... The two title-plates have been reworked, with the imprint altered to include the name of John Wilcox and other details. The remaining plates, including the dedication to Lord Burlington, are reprinted without change. In this edition, the plates are generally bound in with the text, and in some copies, the double-page plates are bound folded in."--British Architectural Library.
Title page is preceded by a frontispiece and followed by four separate books; three books have individual title pages.
