Gilt tooled calf binding; text block edges sprinkled red and brown.
The first page bears an ms pen and brown ink sketch of Fame being crowned by a cherub. Second page bears presentation inscription "The gift of Mordach Mackenzie MD to Stephen Riou at Constantinople 9 February 1754". Third page is title page. Text is divided into two sections "Dell'attione bellica" and "Dell'attione intorno alle fortezze".
