Entirely engraved, except for "Symptoms of a preface," [1] leaf.

Lacks the letterpress preface. Armorial bookplates: Humphrey de Trafford; Harry Twyford Peters. Copy 3 is a compilation of works by Henry Alken issued by his publisher T. McLean with the title British sportsman's vade mecum. Plates mounted (two to a page) in a folio volume. Bound in gilt-tooled brown calf. Has bound with it: Specimens of riding near London -- Illustrations to popular song -- Moments of fancy -- Involuntry thoughts -- Tutor's assistant.
Satire on the follies and and foibles of the Regency period, with particular emphasis on sporting disasters.
