Inscribed in pen and black ink, upper left: "An Arabic Inscription | upon the Wall of the Zancarron | or Sanctum Santorum. | in the Mosque"; inscribed in pen and black ink, center left: "Section of the great Ile of the Mosque."; inscribed in pen and black ink, lower left: "Scale of Fifty Spanish Feet."; inscribed in pen and black ink, upper right: "Plan of the MESQUITA of CORDOVA in the Time of the Mahometans."; inscribed in pen and black ink, lower right: "A scale of six hundred Spannish Feet | References. | A. The Mesquita or Mosque B. The Court for the Ablutions | 1. The Zancarron, the place where the Book of the Law was kept. 2. The Lodgings of the Dorishes | 2.
