Inscribed in pen and brown ink throughout on roofs: "slate"; in black ink, lower right: "TEL" collectors stamp; in pen and black ink, verso, center: "Although this drawing does not seem to have been | used by Thomas Girtin for his panorama of | London, the squaring up of this drawing is exactly | the same as upon drawings for this work: -- | the squares are the same size and the numbering | is by the same hand -- Thomas Lowinsky 1938--"
