Holland; inscribed in pen and black ink on stretcher's sealing tape: June 261 1908, Christie's/ Stephen Holland Collection/ L 693 (Gooden); in black stencil on back of stretcher: EK 647; on old label on back of stretcher in pen and faded black ink: G. Barrett; defaced label on back of stretcher.
