A catalogue of the much distinguished and valuable collection of Italian, French, Flemish and Dutch pictures : fine bronzes, sepulchral urns, bustos, vases in antique marble, Porphry, &c. &c. of the late John Blackwood, Esq. deceased : whose knowledge and peculiar taste in the polite arts require no comment : in this collection ae the undoubted works of the following much admired Great Masters, viz Guido, Dominichino, Parmegiano, L. Giordano, P. D. Cortona, M. Angelo, Spagnioletto, F. Mola, Albano, A. Sacchi, S. & M. Ricci, Calabrese, Orbeto, Sal. rosa, Bartholomeo, Borgognione, P. Laura, Valasquez, Bourdon, Du Jardin, N. & G. Poussin, Ochiali, Elsheimer, Swaneveldt, Rubens, Vandyke, Rembrandt, Gonzales, J.-Stien, J. Van Eck, Ursula, P. Brill, B. Luti, V.D. Velde, Cuyp, Snyders, Fyte, De Vos, Hondikooter, Kamboutts, F. Hals, Moucheron, Hommima &c. &c. : particularly, a most capital landscape by S. Rosa : the Tribute-Money by Rembrandt, his own portrait by Ditto : the Aurora and the Evening by Rubens, both engraved : a portrait, Vandyke : St. Peter repenting, L. Giordano : a capital landscape, Cuyp : the Reposo, Rubens : several capital hunting pieces by Snyders, &c. &c. &c. : Which by order of the executors, will be sold by auction, by Mess. Christie & Ansell, at their Great Room, next Cumberland House, Pall Mall, on Friday, February 20, 1778 and the following day : to be publicly viewed on Wednesday the 18th, and to the sale, which will begin each day at twelve o'clock : catalogues may be had as above.

A catalogue of a valuable and interesting collection of high-finished modern pictures and drawings, framed and glazed : being the genuine and entire stock of an eminent publisher, retiring from business : among the paintings, are The Lord of the Vineyard, and Death of Sapphira, by Opie : original finished studies of wild animals by Northcote : an exquisite small modem of the Storming of Seringapaam, and a ditto the Death of Abercrombie, by R. K. Porter : Howard visiting the Prison, by Wheatley : and various historical, popular and fancy subjects, by Angelica, Wheatley, Morland, Fuseli, Tresham, Stothard, Cosway, Singleton, Benwell, Bigg, Naysmith, Schweickhardt, Jones, Farrington, Marlow, Hodges : the drawings are chiefly by Cipriani, Bartolozzi, Zuccarelli, Hamilton, Stothard, Wheatley, Ker Porter, Loutherbourg, Girtin, Hearne, Sandby, La Porte, Walmsley, Payne, Pocock : also, a small assemblage of architectural and other drawings, framed and glazed : loose prints and books of ditto : a choice collection of plaister casts and busts, from the antique, brought from Rome by an artist : mathematical instruments : skins of vellum for drawing : drawing implements, &c. : a small collection of pictures by Old Masters : and without reserve, sixty copper plates, never published, designed as a supplement to the Vitruvius Britannicus, being elevations of buildings executed by eminent architects : which will be sold by auction by Mr. Christie, at his Great Room, Pall Mall, on Friday, 24th February, 1809, and following day, at twelve o'clock.

A catalogue of the reserved part of a capital collection of Italian pictures : the property of the late Jacob More, Esq. dec : many years distinguished as an eminent artist, resident at Rome : and selected from some of the first cabinets in Italy : comprising the works of the following much esteemed Masters, viz : M. Angelo, J. Bassiano, Corregio, G. de Notte, L. da Vinci, Mola, Pamegiano, P. Perugino, S. Rosa, Tintoretto, P. Veronse, &c. &c. : a most capital sea-port by Claude : and a landscape by the late Mr. Jacob More : also, by permission are added, a valuable collection of cabinet pictures : containing chiefly of the Flemish and Dutch schools, in the highest preservation : the property of Mons. Liss, of Antwerp : brought to England on the invasion of Flanders by the French : consisting of the works of the following great Masters, viz. : Rubens, Vandyck, Teniers, Ostade, Cuyp, A. V. de Velde, W.V. de Velde, Ruysdael, Backuysen, Lingelback, Wynants, Mieres, Weenix, C. du Jardin, Dietrich, Vernet, &c. : also, a most capital portrait, by Vandyck, of the celebrated Govartius, author of the History of the Netherlands : and a beautiful landscape, representing a Summer's Evening, by Claude, a very picturesque and poetical scene : which will be sold by auction by Mr. Christie, (by order of the executors and consignees) at his Great Room in Pall Mall, on Friday, February 26th, 1796, and following day, at twelve o'clock : to be viewed two days preceding the sale : when catalogues may be had at the Rainbow Coffee House, Cornhill : and in Pall Mall.
